- Assembly Operator
Summary
Qualified candidates for this position will have experience with electrical assemblies, soldering, or cable assemblies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts requirements to complete assigned work
- Gather and organize necessary parts, tools, and materials prior to assembly
- Perform a variety of hand, bench, and basic machine operations to prepare and assemble connectors and related components in accordance with established procedures
- Execute basic machining and assembly tasks, including drilling, milling, threading, tapping, soldering, and brazing, following standard practices or specific instructions
- Conduct visual inspections of parts and assemblies to identify burrs or other defects; perform minor repairs as needed
- Identify and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, and unusual conditions to the supervisor
- Assemble components and subassemblies, ensuring proper fit and secure fastening
- Verify completed assemblies meet specifications using measuring tools and established quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues to ensure compliance with specifications
- Support stock handling activities, including identifying, issuing, and organizing materials for departmental use
- Maintain equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance and reporting repair needs
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time
- Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
